Clarisonic Skin Brushes - Which One Should You Go For?

For most people interested in beauty and personal care products, the (brand) name Clarisonic is by no means new in their eyes and ears. Amid raving positive reviews from ordinary users and skin care professionals alike, the Clarisonic skin care products have become some of the most popular with individuals seeking to have the best looking skin they can have.
Of even more particular interest and popularity for many, though, are the Clarisonic Brushes. Employing Clarisonic's patented Sonic Skin Cleansing Technology, the brushes can vibrate at sonic frequency of 300 movements per second to provide effective, deep cleansing and gentle exfoliation to your skin.
Clarisonic produces five different names of these brushes- the Clarisonic Pro, Clarisonic PLUS, Clarisonic Classis, Clarisonic Mia, and Clarisonic Mia 2. All are equipped with the same Sonic Technology, but differ in such aspects as price, size, speed-varying options, and on what areas of the body they can be used.
This Sonic action truly does work, and, speaking from firsthand experience, the results are nothing short of incredible: softer, clearer and less problematic skin. This is obviously what makes Clarisonic Skin Brushes so popular and highly sought out by skin care enthusiasts and professionals everywhere. One thing isn't always so obvious for many potential buyers, though: what brush should they buy that'll best suit their needs?
By briefly profiling these brushes, that's the question this article hopes to answer.
The Clarisonic Pro: Offering four possible speed options (low, normal, high and pro speeds), the Pro is the most versatile of the Calrisonic brushes. It can also be fitted with a special brush head (the Body Brush Head) and set in "Body Mode" for special use on other parts of the body other than the face, such as for exfoliating hands, arms, elbows, knees and feet for a smoother feel.
Like all the other brushes, the Pro can be used by both men and women and is ideal for any skin type (depending on what kind of brush head is fitted on it). It comes in pink, white and graphite-gray.
This model is used and exclusive sold by skin care professionals like aestheticians. Unless you're planning to open a beauty salon or something, this is not the brush you should be eyeing.
The Clarisonic PLUS: This one is pretty much a replica of the Pro, with minor differences. Instead of four, it gives three speed settings for use on the face (low, normal and high speeds); and it's adopted for easier use by the ordinary user. Like the Pro, it also offers the Body Mode (only these two models give this option, in fact). It's available in white, pink and a limited-edition "InStyle Red".
Both the Pro and PLUS have a battery life of 30 minutes when used with the facial brush heads, and of 20 minutes when used with the Body Brush Head. These two brushes have the highest price points of the Clarisonic brushes.
The Clarisonic Classic: As the name suggests, the Classic is Clarisonic's original Skin Cleansing System. This doesn't make it superior in any way, shape or form; it just means that the Classic was really the first brush form Clarisonic to employ the Sonic Skin Cleansing Technology and to achieve great popularity with the everyday home user.
It has two speed settings (low and normal) and has a battery life of thirty minutes (it may not sound like a lot, but given the very short amount of time these brushes are used per session, this is quite a long life actually!). The Classic brushes come in white, pink and graphite-gray.
The Clarisonic Mia and Mia 2: To meet the needs of the everyday home user for an even more convenient use of the cleansing technology, Clarisonic responded by the introduction of the Mia, which became an instant hit with Clarisonic-brush-enthusiasts everywhere.
It is the smallest, lightest and most compact of the Clarisonic Brushes. It has only the normal speed and comes in a wide range of colours to choose from (white, yellow, pink, blue, lavender, garnet, turquoise, sapphire blue, poppy red, tangerine, etc.). Its compact design makes it the most ideal travel partner to maintain your beauty routines while on-the-go.
The Mia 2 is the newest model of the Clarisonic skin brushes. It's essentially the same as the Mia, with few additional (more or less trivial) features like two speed settings (low and normal) instead of one. It's presently available in only white and pink- though Clarisonic says they plan to add more colours to the Mia 2 family.
Both the Mia and Mia 2 have a battery life of 20 minutes and have the same compact, travel-friendly design. The Mia, however, is without a doubt the most popular of all the names and certainly the cheapest.
I hope these few pointers and descriptions can serve as helpful guides to picking the brush that would best suit your individual needs and lifestyle. One important thing to remember is that, although each brush is unique in its own right and can serve different specific needs, they all employ the same Sonic technology to give you the fairest skin you can have.
